For independent tire and service shops
Swap day without the hunt: tire storage software with a slot for every set
RackSet is tire storage software for independent tire shops that tracks every customer's stored seasonal set: the rack slot it sits in, its tread and DOT date at check-in, and the day it goes back on the car. Your techs walk to the slot instead of walking the racks.

Mrs. Kowalski is at the counter. Where are her winters?
On paper, someone reads the binder, finds “back rack, maybe”, and a tech goes looking with a flashlight while four more cars pull in. In RackSet, the Service Writer types her name, plate or phone number and reads off a slot code. The set was moved in July to make room; the move is on its record, with who moved it.
The same records answer the questions paper can't: which slots are free right now, and which sets have sat through two seasons with no swap booked or no storage fee paid.
Kowalski, 2019 Equinox
A-1-3Winter set, 225/65R17 on steel rims, TPMS. Stored April 14.

Condition at check-in
Seasonal tire storage with the tread written down the day the set goes in
The tech gauges each tire and types the reading in 32nds, corner by corner. Add the DOT week and year, rims, TPMS sensors and photos from the phone. The customer gets a private condition receipt link, so in October nobody argues about what the tires looked like in April.
Equinox
DOT 3421. The lowest reading is flagged in orange on the record and the receipt.
Swap day
Tire hotel software built for the swap rush: a pull list in walking order
Each morning RackSet lists the sets booked to go back on that day, sorted by rack, beam and slot. The Tire Tech pulls them in one pass, marks each one pulled, and the summer set takes the empty slot. Techs log in to this list, slot moves and tread entry only; the counter books the swaps.

A stored set's year
Two swaps a year, and a record of where the set spent the months between
Dark: winters on the car, summers in your rack. Light: the other way round. Ringed: swap months.
The spring swap. The winters come off and are checked in: tread on all four, DOT date, photos, and the next free slot. Over the summer, any move to make room is logged.
The fall swap. As customers call in September, the counter books a swap date on the set. On the day it shows up on the pull list, and the summers go into the slot the winters came out of.
Pricing
Priced by how many sets you store
Shop management suites that do storage cost hundreds a month. RackSet does only tire storage, so a month costs less than a couple of customers' season fees. A year paid up front is the price of ten months.
The 14-day trial needs no card.

Tire storage software, explained
- What is tire hotel software?
- Tire hotel is the trade name for storing a customer's off-season tires at the shop for a fee. Tire hotel software keeps the record of each stored set: whose it is, which rack slot it is in, its condition when it went in, and when it is due back on the car.
- How do tire shops keep track of seasonal tire storage?
- Most use a paper tag on each tire plus a binder, a whiteboard or a spreadsheet. That works until a set is moved without the sheet being updated. RackSet keeps the slot on the set's record, so moving it in the app is the update.
- Is there a tire storage app the techs can use on a phone?
- Yes. RackSet runs in the phone's browser, with nothing to install. Techs see the pull list, move sets between slots, enter tread and take photos with the phone's camera.
- We already have a storage spreadsheet. Do we start over?
- No. Save it as a CSV file and upload it on the Tire sets page; you match your columns (customer, vehicle, size, slot) to RackSet's once. A CSV export of every set is one click away whenever you want it.
- Does it replace my shop management or POS system?
- No. RackSet only tracks stored tire sets. Keep your point of sale or shop management system for invoices and work orders.
- What does the customer's condition receipt show?
- A private link with their set's size and brand, the tread on each tire and the DOT date at check-in, the date it went into storage and your shop's phone number. No login, and nothing about other customers.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes, 14 days with no card. If it runs out before you choose a plan, nothing is deleted: you can still look up every set, you just can't add new ones.
